Who can use this phone number?

You must be a travel professional in good standing with regulatory authorities in the state in which you do business. You must be an ethical, independent travel agent or work for an independent travel agency. You must have access to appropriate travel vendors either through your own production or through a reputable affiliate. We have the right to refuse to do business with any person or business solely at our discretion. We will refuse to forward calls to any travel vendor who is not deemed to be appropriate for our callers. These phone numbers meant only for the purchase of travel services and products. No other use of these numbers is allowed. Our sole purpose is to give the traveling public the best service and value for their travel dollar anywhere.

What about my business hours?

That’s completely your call. It’s your business. We’ll send calls to your office, mobile phone or after hour’s service. All we ask is that all calls be responded to promptly so consumer experience is beyond question.

Can more than one agent take calls in a particular market area?

That’s up to you. Your marketing campaign could give you all the leads you can handle. You may want to share expenses with another agent, share leads or hire more agents. You may want to partner with other agencies or travel agents. We’ll work with you to help you to get the most from your partnership with 1-800-Travel Line. Once you partner with us in your territory, the decision to work with other agents is up to you. Sometimes pooled resources create a bigger business. As long as the number is used appropriately as described above, we will do everything we can to help you to grow your business.

Is this a consortium?

No. Keep all of your current affiliations. As we grow, however, joint marketing possibilities are endless. We don’t sell travel. That’s your job and we don’t want to compete with your business.

Do I need to change my agency’s name?

No. As a partner, you are welcome to use the phone number in your name. In fact, it could help you to grow brand awareness. As a partner you will even be allowed to use the name 1-800-Travel Line as your business name, but you don’t have to. We do recommend some sort of co-branding of your current name with the phone number. It will increase call flow. But again, it is not mandatory. It’s your business.

Can I cancel at any time?

What is the cost?

It’s not expensive and you can cancel at any time. We only want agencies that are committed to building a long term relationship in their local markets The starting price is only $29.95 per month. Prices are based on the size and population of the city you seek. Call for details. Usage is priced at 6.9 cents per minute which is around the same small businesses pay per minute to AT&T for a toll free telephone number. (Of course they tack on taxes, and monthly fees. We don’t). The more you use 1-800-Travel line, the faster your business will grow. If your phone bill grows, you’re winning.

What if I live in a small town?

Vanity marketing works great in small towns. Word of mouth marketing can be very powerful. We only charge $29.95 for small towns. Small towns are easier to penetrate with brand awareness. 1-800-Travel Line is a number that will give you unforgettable branding in your town. We often get calls from agents wanting to tackle big cities, but they don’t have the resources to penetrate those areas. We suggest smaller home based agencies try not to bite off more than they can chew. Smaller areas can be uniquely profitable for smaller agencies because you can reach more people for a much smaller investment in advertising and marketing. Is this a franchise?

No. We are a service provider. We allow you to use this powerful marketing program for a fee. We have requirements as discussed above and certain terms will be disclosed when you decide to become a member of this national search engine over the phone.

What if I don’t use the phone number?

We have an anti-hording policy. In other words, we do not allow partners to contract for use of the phone number simply to eliminate outside competition. Numbers like this tend to take market share from larger agencies. We’ve seen it happen. Keeping the number in circulation keeps the viral marketing flowing. We want your business to grow, and this number will grow rapidly through word of mouth.

Do you have other phone numbers?

Yes, but 1-800-Travel Line is the best phone number in the travel business. We own phone numbers like 1-888-NYC Travel, 1-877-Book Vegas, 1-877-My Hawaii and more. 1-877-Plan My Cruise is a number we reserve for our cruise only agents, but if you run a large cruise practice, give us a call. As a member, you will have access to these phone numbers as well. 1-800-Travel Line is the most powerful phone number in travel. We would use that as a base and use the others for specific marketing campaigns as the need arises. Our partners are always first. Small additional charges could apply.
